DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank

The purpose of the DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank is to provide protection from minor coolant loss.  It will not protect against excessive coolant loss due to extreme overheating. The DDR- Cool Recovery Tank is an inexpensive alternative to the more costly and far more cumbersome aftermarket recovery tanks that are currently available on the market.  Will work on all 2 & 4 Stroke Water-Cooled Motors.  The DDR Coolant Recovery Tank is ideal for Dirt, Dual Sport, and Supermoto Motorcycles that don't have an OEM Recovery Tank.  Also, it is a lighter replacement for the bulky OEM Recovery Tanks.

DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank

The DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank works like any car or motorcycle coolant recovery system. When your motorcycle is running it may start to overheat due to engine stress, outside temperatures or prolong idling, the coolant migrates into the recovery tank. Once your motor cools down it will flow back into your radiator.

 

The DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank is Plug and Play product.  It can be easily installed in less than ten minutes.

1.  Will the DDR-Coolant Recovery Tank work on my 2 Stroke KX85?

Yes. This product will work with all Water-Cooled Motorcycle regardless of engine  displacement. 


2.   Do you have to place the Recovery Tank in the front of the Radiator?

No. Some customers prefer placing the Recovery Tank behind the Radiator.   However, we recommend placement near the frame in front of the Radiator.

We also found that on certain two stroke Hondas that the best location is next to the radiator shroud.  See Gallery for examples.


3.   Having the Coolant Tank placed on the Radiator Louvers do it affect air flow? 

            

No.  The slim design does not affect air flow to the Radiator.  Tests has shown  there is no temperature difference placing the DDR-Coolant Recover Tank on the Radiator or at different locator on the Motorcycle.


4.  Will the Clutch Foot Brake Protector fit all KTM/Husqvarna Models?

No.  Currently the #772, #794, #548 & #554 DDR-Clutch Foot Brake Protector will only fit certain model years.  See our (772) (794) (548) (554) & (CR-1) Part List to match your Make Model and Year.

   I ordered your Coolant Recovery Tank last week. I was very pleased with the transaction even though it was through eBay. Personally, I rather deal directly with the company of the product. I bought the product for my old DRZ400, I recently bought the bike and realized that it was supposed to have a coolant tank originally from factory, but over the years somebody removed it, and coolant was just overflowing onto the ground, and I was constantly putting coolant in the bike. I ran Evan’s Coolant in my 12’ KTM 500EXC and I thought I would never have a coolant overflow issues. However, during a ride in the Stanislaus National Forest last June my fan failed, and my bike overheated, and I lost most of my coolant.
